Jaguars and Trevor Lawrence survive a suspenseful road game against the Saints.
Foster Moreau’s game-winning touchdown pass to him helped them.
With momentum in their favor at home in the Caesars Superdome, the New Orleans Saints had just tied the game almost three minutes earlier in the fourth quarter.
Trevor Lawrence then went ahead and deflated the stadium.
With 3:08 remaining in the game, Lawrence found Christian Kirk on a short crossing pass, and the wide receiver took it 44 yards for the score to put the Jacksonville Jaguars up 31-24.
Score was unchanged following Saints tight end Derek Carr found Foster Moreau in the end zone with a picture-perfect third-down pass that slipped through his fingertips. In addition, Carr’s fourth-down pass was incomplete as the Jaguars advanced to 5-2 and the Saints to 3-4.
Travis Etienne Jr., the running back, finished with 53 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, while Lawrence finished with 204 yards throwing and one touchdown.
Before Lawrence and Kirk answered, Carr finished with 301 passing yards and a touchdown throw to Michael Thomas to tie the score at 6:38 in the fourth quarter.
Here’s how the Saints vs. Jaguars game unfolded throughout.
