Gaffer couldn’t have asked for a better moment of victory Ryan Lowe admits he couldn’t have asked for a better ending to his derby win over Blackburn Rovers as Liam Lindsay headed home the winner for the home team at the last minute.
It looked like the points would be split at Ewood Park after Alan Browne’s opener was canceled out by Sammie Szmodics, but Lindsay appeared in the final minute of normal time to score the winner.

This happened in front of 5,789 PNE away fans, causing chaos on and off the field.
Of his winning moment, Ryan said: “It was amazing.
The same goes for our away team in front, they’re bouncing, aren’t they?
“What more could you ask for?
” Winners in stoppage time and such.
“It was a great header from Linds and with the celebration at the end we couldn’t have asked for a better finish.
“What I will say is that the boys were great from start to finish.
We faced a lot of pressure from Blackburn, a very good and very complex team.
“The first goal we scored was amazing.

Of course we were disappointed with their goal, but their never-say-die attitude and the way we kept fighting until the end to get the win really pleased us.
North End had a brilliant day at Ewood Park 11 months ago, winning 4-1 in the snow, but this time it looks like they will have to settle for a point.
That was until a late corner was won and Ben Whiteman passed the ball to Lindsay, the winner, who sparked huge celebrations in the packed away camp.
On the fan side: “[They are] the Boss.
I put pressure on myself during the week by saying: let’s fill the upper stands and today I thought about that when I arrived.
I thought, “Oh my God, let’s make sure we win because they’re going to come after me.
” “This is our only derby and when you have your only derby you have to make sure you send them home happy and they rallied behind us.
” “They sing all the time.
Even when they scored, they still gathered around the players and sang like they did and rallied them [which was amazing].Ryan Lowe: We showed our character | Video | Watch TV Show | Sky Sports
“They’ve been doing this all season.
Keep it up because the boys need it every week and this is the reward they get: , we send them home happy.
