Green Bay Packers Fans React To Massive Blow To Pittsburgh Steelers For Week 10 Matchup (Breaking)
The Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers square off in Week 10. The Packers (3-5) are attempting to start a winning streak and try to get back into the playoff mix. The Steelers (5-3) are attempting to keep pace with the Baltimore Ravens (7-2) within their own division.
As the season turns over to the second half every team in the NFL will be dealing with injuries of some kind. The Steelers, however, suffered a major blow on defense as Sunday approaches.
Fitzpatrick has been ruled out of Sunday’s matchup with the Packers due to a hamstring injury. While head coach Mike Tomlin hinted Fitzpatrick might be able to make his way back to practice this week, Fitzpatrick ended up as a non-participant for all three days.
While defensive lineman Cam Heyward (groin) was limited on Wednesday and didn’t practice on Thursday, he has no game status and is slated to play. He was also limited in Friday’s session.
Defensive tackle Montravius Adams (ankle) is also out after he didn’t practice this week.
Linebacker Elandon Roberts (knee) is set to play. Nick Herbig (calf) was added to the injury report on Friday as a limited participant, but he’s also set to play.
The defense is battered and tired from having to carry this team all year. The offense rarely stays on the field long enough for them to rest. This is a recipe for disaster.

Pittsburgh Steelers fans who were paying attention to the CMA Awards Wednesday might have noticed a familiar face in the festivities.
Yes, that was former Steelers quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges rocking a Cowboy hat and accompanying country music star and the most nominated artist of the night, Lainey Wilson, to the show. And, yes, they are a couple.
The two have apparently been together since 2021, but didn’t make that information public until “Duck” was by her side at May’s ACM Awards.
Wilson talked about the relationship back in June saying that Hodges had “been around for a while,” and is a “good dude.”
“He knows what it’s like chasing a dream because he’s done that for himself,” she said. “He was in the NFL. He tried out literally for the Steelers and made it and had a really great run with them. Went out to the LA Rams and did that. But I’ll tell you, he is good as good. Supports me, would never come in between anything that I’m trying to do. He’s like, ‘Go get it, girl.’ And I made him wait for a while. I mean … it’s been a little over two years now.”
The Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers are prepping for their Week 10 matchup. The Packers (3-5) are desperately trying to get back into the improbable playoff chase after a tough start to the season. The Steelers (5-3) are trying to keep pace with the 7-2 Baltimore Ravens in their own division.
While both teams know what is at stake each and every week, it would appear that one Steelers star is struggling with a few things.
George Pickens got his first real taste of what happens when you let your emotions get the best of you in the NFL: The media puts you under a microscope and usually makes it a bigger deal than it needs to be.
From the negative body language during the Thursday Night Football game to Pickens removing all signs that he’s a Pittsburgh Steeler from his Instagram account on Saturday, he’s been the most written and talked about member of the Black and Gold.
His teammates are doing their part to help Pickens navigate what’s hopefully just a phase in his young career.
Najee Harris put it to Pickens this way: When defenses render you ineffective, another player shines.
“They’re not going to let you be a game-wrecker,” Harris told Steelers media via ESPN’s Brooke Pryor on Wednesday. “They’re going to find ways to minimize that player. And when you find ways to minimize that player, it creates somebody else’s opportunity to eat. And that’s the part of the team.”
Harris’s advice was to put things in perspective and be chill about it.
“I was telling GP, it’s OK, there’s nothing wrong with being frustrated, it’s just how you handle things. Obviously, he’s a talented guy. Teams are going to do things to minimize him. But I was just telling him in the middle of the game, too, that you got to keep your composure.”
As Peter Bukowski annotated, The Packers aren’t a good first-half team. They are 28th in EPA/play and 29th in success rate. However, the Steelers are one of the only teams worse at 30th in EPA/play and 31st in success rate.
If the Packers are ABLE to get off to a good start in the first-half, they could secure the game before the first-half even concludes. The Packers’ defense has to be feeling confident after holding the Rams to just three points (backup quarterback starting or not). In addition, the Packers may not have to worry about Minkah Fitzpatrick. That would be huge.
