Cincinnati Bengals Receive Scary Update On Leading Pass Rusher’s Knee After Texans’ Game
The Cincinnati Bengals have concerning news Monday for their best pass rusher following the team’s loss to the Houston Texans in Week 10. The Bengals need their pass rush to remain top-notch as the 5-4 Bengals make a push for the playoffs after a slow start to the regular season.
The Bengals came into to their game against the Texans, winners of four straight games. But rookie quarterback phenom C.J. Stroud willed the Texans to another win. The Bengals will try to bounce back against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night.
The short turnaround means the Bengals will likely be without defensive end Trey Hendrickson, who registered .5 sacks against the Texans. According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, Hendrickson suffered a hyperextended knee in the loss Sunday. He will have an MRI to confirm the injury, but he is expected to miss some time.
Hendrickson has the most sacks for the Bengals this season, with 8.5 sacks. The Bengals’ two-time Pro Bowl defender is the main piece of a pass rush that is graded fifth in the league by Pro Football Focus.

The Cincinnati Bengals will be without one of their star wide receivers against the Houston Texans in Week 10. The 5-3 Bengals had two key wide receivers battling injuries this week.
Ja’Marr Chase did not practice Wednesday due to a back injury. He was limited at practice Thursday. Tee Higgins was limited Wednesday but did not practice Thursday due to a hamstring injury.
There was concern earlier this week the Bengals could be without Higgins and Chase against the Texans. According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, head coach Zac Taylor said Higgins and defensive end Sam Hubbard (ankle) have been ruled out of their Week 10 contest.
Higgins is the Bengals’ second-leading receiver this season, behind Chase, with 328 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Higgins’ absence will hurt a passing scheme that has been on fire for their four-game winning streak.
The Cincinnati Bengals have added to their active roster ahead of Sunday’s tilt against the Houston Texans. Per NFL insider Adam Schefter, The Bengals have added wideouts Stanley Morgan and Shedrick Jackson to their 53-man roster.
With Tee Higgins out and Ja’Marr Chase questionable, the Bengals elevated WR Shedrick Jackson and WR Stanley Morgan from their practice squad to their active roster for Sunday’s game vs. Houston.
Star wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins could be out for their team’s Week 10 matchup. Higgins has already been ruled out, while Chase carries a questionable tag.
The Cincinnati Bengals will active practice squad receivers Stanley Morgan and Shedrick Jackson to the 53-man roster for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. Morgan has spent his entire five-year NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals. He has registered five receptions for 29 yards and no scores in 49 games. However, he is mainly a special team player. Stanley has played nearly 900 special teams snaps in five seasons, compared to just 373 snaps on offense. The Nebraska product has yet to play on offense this season.
Meanwhile, Jackson has never played in an NFL game. The 24-year-old went undrafted after playing with the Auburn Tigers until 2022. Jackson played five seasons in the SEC, recording 66 receptions for 874 yards and one touchdown.
The Bengals will be without Tee Higgins for Sunday’s home tilt. The 24-year-old has 27 receptions for 328 yards and two scores in seven games. It’s a particularly tough blow for the Bengals, as Higgins is fresh off an eight-reception, 110-yard game in a 24-18 win over the Buffalo Bills.
Fellow wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase could play but heads into the weekend with a questionable tag for Sunday. The two-time Pro-Bowler has posted 64 receptions for 697 yards and four scores in eight games. He has scored four times in the last four games.
