BREAKING: Minnesota Vikings Announce Veteran Quarterback Placed On Injured Reserve Will Return
The Minnesota Vikings announced Wednesday the team will get one of their veteran quarterbacks back to practice after being placed on injured reserve earlier this season. The Vikings have had several injuries at quarterback this season.
The most serious injury came to Kirk Cousins, who tore his Achilles and will be out for the season. Jaren Hall suffered a concussion against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9, giving Joshua Dobbs the starting signal-caller role. Dobbs was brought in via a trade with the Arizona Cardinals as Nick Mullens was on injured reserve for a back injury.
According to a statement by the Vikings, Mullens is returning to practice and has been designated for return from the injured reserve.
Mullens will be able to back up Dobbs. One would assume the Vikings will ride the rest of the season with Dobbs. Dobbs has engineered two wins for the Vikings since being traded from the Cardinals.
