The Gaffer talks about Swansea City and gives an update on the injury situation Manager Ryan Lowe expects to face a slightly different Swansea City side this weekend than last season.
The South Wales team was led by Russell Martin in the 2022/23 season and played in a possession-based style, but following his move to Southampton in the summer, former Barnsley manager Michael Duff became manager.

When asked how North End prepare for the game, Ryan said: Because Swansea are a great team who play good football.
“Michael went in there and did things a little bit differently.
When they start an attack, they want to finish the attack and achieve something at the end.
“Last season Swansea wanted to keep possession and keep the ball open with a lot of passing, but I think Michael has a different aim.
He wants to score as many goals as possible and keep the game open.
“I’m not saying last year wasn’t the same, but I know they didn’t get off to as good a start as they would have liked, but they’re still a good team.
” “They’ve got some good players and they’re definitely going to be good this season, so we’ve got to take that seriously and make sure we have a game plan.
” Injuries On the front, there is some positive news for PNE.
Ali McCann missed last weekend’s game against Sheffield Wednesday but has returned to training and is expected to be available again on Saturday.
The manager also confirmed that midfielder Ben Whiteman, who is recovering from hernia surgery, will return for part of training on Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, Robbie Brady is expected to return after the international break and Emil Rees could return as early as Saturday 16 September against Plymouth Argyle.
North End’s young players will have to step up in the absence of several experienced players, some of whom will be making their debuts this season.
Ryan said: “The young players have been great, but after the international break we’ll be happy with hopefully one or two new signings and all the players coming back from injury.
