He was not placed on injured reserve, leaving him eligible for a weekly return.
But up until this point, security had not been practiced.
That being said, there is hope that he will return.
“Look, I know Minkah is coming back this week,” Kazee told Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
“A lot of us aren’t going to play in those spots.
” The Steelers have been working with Kazee and Trenton Thompson for the past two weeks.

After Keanu Neal was placed on IR with a rib injury, the team went to the practice squad to find depth, working with Kazee, Thompson, and Myles Killebrew as the only available safeties.
With Fitzpatrick’s return, the Steelers could start using a three-safety set of Fitzpatrick, Kazee, and Thompson.
But the fact that the All-Pro playmaker is back on the field should give the defense a boost heading into the end of the regular season.
