Texas offer a ‘really big deal’ to Longhorn legacy Jalen Lott

Five-star athlete Jalen Lott earned a Texas offer over the weekend and the 2026 Lovejoy standout has some pretty special ties to the Longhorns. His father, James, was a football and track star on the Forty Acres and his mom, Fey, was a member of the Texas women’s basketball team in the 1990s.

“Obviously with both my parents going to Texas, I’ve really been wanting Texas,” Lott said of the offer. “Them offering me is a really big deal to me. I really hope to make further plans in the future to get to know the team.”
