Injury Report: Sanders, Dubinion both to have surgery

The Arkansas Razorbacks football team will be short-handed offensively heading into Saturday’s showdown with No.
10 Missouri, but there’s a good chance two key players will return from injury.
Head coach Sam Pittman released updates on several injured players on Monday, and some of the news may not be pleasing to Razorback fans.
“Rockett (Sanders) has a torn labrum (shoulder) that needs to be repaired within the next few days,” Pittman said.
“Rashod (Dubignon) has a torn meniscus, which is better news than we thought Saturday.
And he’s probably just coming out of surgery.
” Sanders and Dubinon both committed to the University of Arkansas.
Their absence will be felt before the Missouri game as they are key players in the running back room.
This season, Sanders rushed 62 times for 209 yards and two touchdowns.
Dubinion had 82 carries for 260 yards and a touchdown.
Fortunately for the Hogs, freshman running back Isaiah Augustave was strong in the Razorbacks’ 44-20 win over FIU last week.
He carried the ball 14 times for 101 yards (7.
2 average) before being named SEC Co-Freshman of the Week.
Additionally, redshirt junior running back Dominique Johnson looked more like himself as he totaled 62 yards and scored one touchdown on six carries in Saturday’s game against the Panthers.
Those two and junior running back AJ Green should get more carries this weekend against the Tigers.
“He’s got three left,” Pittman said.
“Isaiah got some carry time.
Dominic deserves it, I thought he looked really good the other night.
And he’s definitely AJ.
” After his performance, we’ll try to get the 23 up to speed a little bit more, and once again, I really like how Dominic did some good things to get the pack moving while shaking his shoulders.
he’s a big man “More importantly, he probably got some confidence out of it.
Actually, he didn’t have a lot of confidence in that knee.
He just doesn’t have it.
” Some guys get over it faster than others, but I think he grew in confidence after having a couple of really good runs last night in the field.
Pittman said freshman Jaylon Braxton practiced Sunday after suffering a shoulder sprain against Auburn.
He continued that he doesn’t know if Braxton will be able to play against FIU.
This season, Braxton recorded 21 tackles, eight passes defensed, one forced fumble, and one interception.
Right tackle Patrick Kutas seems to be doing well after injuring his ankle against Florida.
He did not play in the loss against Auburn or the win against FIU, but practiced yesterday, Pittman said.
Next up, the University of Arkansas (4-7, 1-6 SEC) will face the Missouri Tigers (9-2, 5-2 SEC) at Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Friday.
The game is scheduled to start at 3:44:44 p.m.
CT and CBS.
