Steelers FB Monte ‘The Mullet’ Pottebaum Retires
LATROBE — Pittsburgh Steelers fullback Monte ‘The Mullet’ Pottebaum is walking away from the NFL, as the team announces he’s retiring.
Pottebaum signed with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent following the 2023 NFL Draft. An Iowa alum, Pottebaum was set to compete as the team’s fullback, and was the only listed player at the position heading into training camp.
Pottebaum did come to Saint Vincent College with the Steelers and was practicing during the first week prior to his announcement.
