ao receives suspension over match-fixing The snooker world is rocked by the news that Chinese star Yan Bingtao has been suspended from the World Snooker Tour as part of a match-fixing investigation.

Yan has the right to appeal and is one of the top prospects in the game after winning last year’s Masters title.
Before this news broke, he was expected to play at this week’s British Open.

Former British Open champion Liang Wenbo was suspended by snooker chiefs in October, and five other players (Lu Ning, Li Han, Qiao Jianbo, Bai Lanning) Player Zhang Bingyu) was also suspended last week.
