Highly touted linebacker Danny Stutzman recently announced that he will be rejoining the team for next season.
Of course, his head coach Brent couldn’t have been more enthusiastic about him than Venables.
He heard his thoughts.
Stutzman reportedly declared for the NFL Draft last week, but surprised everyone with a video announcement on Monday.

The video, narrated by Oklahoma football icon Brian Bosworth, features various clips of the Stutzmen on and off the field, ending with the message, “SEC, see you soon.
” displayed, with Stutzman’s signature at the bottom.
With 99 tackles, three quarterback sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception return for a touchdown, the 20-year-old was one of the best linebackers in college this year and a 2023 All-Big.

Oklahoma State football’s only two losses this season have come against Kansas State football, where Stutzman was sidelined with an ankle injury, and against rival Oklahoma State football, where the star linebacker was sidelined with an injury.
In 2022, Stutzman led the Big 12 in tackles.
During his three-year tenure at Oklahoma, Stutzman totaled 261 tackles, seven sacks, four forced fumbles, and three interceptions.
In addition to Stutzman, another highly touted talent in Oklahoma football, defensive lineman Billy Bowman Jr.
also announced that he will remain with the Sooners for another year.
It’s safe to say that Danny Stutzman’s job isn’t done yet and he wants to give Oklahoma football fans a memorable senior year.
