John Dorsey out as Cleveland Browns General Manager after ‘mutual parting of ways’
CLEVELAND — After a disappointing 6-10 season, the Cleveland Browns and General Manager John Dorsey have “mutually parted ways,” the team confirmed via statements from owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam and Dorsey.
Shortly before the official announcement, ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed the exit on Twitter:
Dorsey was named general manager in December 2017 after the team fired Vice President Sashi Brown.
Before becoming the Browns general manager, Dorsey held the same position with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2013-16 and was credited with helping turn the franchise around.
