Freshman defenseman Dwight Bootle, who injured his shoulder on Saturday, is also out for the season.
There’s better news for defensive lineman Cameron Lenhart, who sprained his ankle in Saturday’s game but will return to practice Tuesday.
According to Rhule, quarterback Jeff Sims practiced Sunday after missing Saturday’s game with an ankle injury, and was replaced by Heinrich Hurlberg.
Rhule did not say who might start behind center this Saturday against Louisiana Tech.
“I’m not going to comment before the game, obviously for competitive reasons,” Rhule said.
“We’re going to have all three quarterbacks ready to play this week.
