Whether it was a major national 5v5 event, National Preps Camp, or UA Next Combine, it made no difference. Brooks simply never runs out of reps.

This week has proven to be no different, as Brooks is not only winning but also stomping the competition. He repeatedly stuffs the opposing defensive lineman at the line of scrimmage, keeping him from getting close to the bag.

Over the past four years, Brooks’ physical change has been the subject of much discussion. Since his sophomore year, he has shed over 60 pounds, reaching a healthy 325 pounds.

He is moving so much more fluidly now, especially when going sideways while still being strong and powerful. Although the Oklahoma signee played left tackle in high school, he stated that his goal is to switch to guard in college.

During the UA check-in earlier this week, Brooks informed us, “They want me to slide me inside.” “I’ve played guard before, and I’m good with that. That’s where I’m playing this week.”I just want to play; it doesn’t matter if they like me right or left; they didn’t say that. I’m quite thrilled about this chance, and my objective is to get in and be hired right away.

Brooks is aware of the offensive lineman exodus that has occurred this offseason.

Brooks remarked, “I think they lost pretty much the entire line.” “A lot of guys visit the portal, but that simply gives me more chances.

“I was told by the coaches that they expect me to show up prepared to play and compete. I’m an early graduate who will be on campus on January 13 or thereabouts, so it will be a wonderful opportunity for me to work out during spring ball.

Texas and Oklahoma were Brooks’ final two states. Prior to deciding to join the Sooners, he paid official visits to both programs.

“My relationship with the Sooner coaches was the biggest thing,” Brooks stated. “I’ve known Demarco Murray, the running backs coach, since my time as a Las Vegas freshman.

He was among the first coaches to get in touch with me and build a solid rapport. Bill (Bedenbaugh), the offensive line coach, took over after that. His success in developing players and bringing them into the National Football League is evident.

Brooks claimed that Coach Venables would text her every day. That accounted for a significant portion of my commitment. It matters a lot when the head coach gets involved and expresses his desire for you. I was constantly made to feel important by OU. I’ve worked with that staff before, and I have faith in coach B (Bedenbaugh) to help me improve. Even though they recently lost the Bowl game, I still think the program is headed in the right path. I’m eager to contribute to the change because I believe we can have a positive impact.
