McKenna: A Couple of Issues, Nothing Major
Leif Davis will not play in Saturday’s FA Cup match at AFC Wimbledon, according to Town manager Kieran McKenna, who also mentioned that the Blues had a couple of injury concerns.
Left-back George Hirst, a striker, will miss the majority of the season due to a hamstring injury; he will have surgery early next week. Davis, on the other hand, has missed the last two games due to a calf issue.
McKenna responded, “We have a couple of little issues since Monday, nothing major,” when asked if he was experiencing any new injury problems. “We don’t think Leif will be fully recovered just yet.
Of course, George, but following Monday’s game, we need to evaluate a few more players.
Nothing significant, but there may be a few instances where Saturday arrives a little too soon or where additional relaxation time is required in order to get ready for the upcoming games.
After having surgery in October, midfielder Lee Evans has been out; nevertheless, according to McKenna, the Welshman is recovering well and won’t be returning for some time.
“I believe Lee recently saw a specialist, and they were really pleased with the progress,” he said. “Lee is progressing well.”
He still has a good journey ahead of him; he hasn’t yet played on the field or worked on a pitch.
Although there will still be a considerable amount of time involved, he is making the expected development. Hopefully, he’ll be totally recovered this season, but it’s not likely to happen this month.
