4-star RB Daniel Hill becomes latest addition to Alabama’s 2024 class
Alabama football’s class of 2024 gained a legacy from the Southeastern Conference. Four-star running back Daniel Hill pledged to UA during the All-American Bowl.
Hill, a Meridian, Mississippi native whose father Demetrius was a Mississippi State player, is ranked No. 15 in the 247Sports Composite running back rankings. Hill has made several trips to Tuscaloosa and has been picked by several experts to win the Tide since November. His revelation coincides with a change in the UA 2024 running back lineup after a Rose Bowl setback.
Roydell Williams, a senior, is transferring. Jase McClellan, a top rusher, might choose to enter the NFL Draft. As the season went on, underclassmen Jam Miller and Justice Haynes saw an increase in carries, partly because of injuries. In the class of 2023, Haynes and former blue-chip Richard Young joined Alabama. Miller, four-star athlete Emmanuel Henderson, and transfer Jahmyr Gibbs were added by Nick Saban the year prior.
This autumn, Hill caught three touchdowns in addition to running for 23. At Meridian, he also scored two touchdowns passing. Tennessee and South Carolina were two of his top choices. Kevin Riley, a running back from Tuscaloosa County, was also added by UA.Cooper Petagna, a national recruiting analyst for 247Sports, wrote:
“A versatile player with a dense frame who can be used in a number of offensive configurations.” Possesses the ability to be stretched out in the passing game and projects to play RB at the next level. Big athlete has a special offensive skill set. possesses the capacity to perceive the field early at a higher degree.
The class of Alabama is placed second, just behind Georgia. With 19 four-star recruits, the Tide tied LSU for third place in the nation.
