Having not given Chalobah a single minute of playing time this season, Mauricio Pochettino is eager to move the player.

Though money is being held to sign Nketiah, Dougie Freedman has not yet made an offer to Chelsea.

The England international is reportedly a top target for Crystal Palace this month if Arsenal decides to sell, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic. Despite Gabriel Jesus’ superiority over Nketiah at the Emirates Stadium this season, the Nigerian forward has still managed to score a good six goals and dish out four assists.

Chalobah might submit a bid shortly.
As of right now, it appears unlikely that Nketiah would sign a contract, thus Freedman may decide to make a bid for Chalobah in light of TEAMtalk’s reports.

It is improbable that Arsenal will acquire a new striker this month, as Mikel Arteta acknowledged last week.

According to the Evening Standard, the Spaniard stated: “At this time, it (signing a striker) does not look realistic.” My responsibility is to help our players get better, and we must work to maximize the performance of the guys we already have.

Nketiah is therefore likely to remain in north London, which implies a bid for Chalobah may be made later this month.
