Mohamed Salah sustained an injury that has stunned Liverpool.
The attacker sustained an injury during his country’s second match while away representing Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Dominik Szoboszlai, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson, Kostas Tsimikas, and Thiago Alcantara are all getting close to returning.
In order to receive treatment for his muscular issue, Mohamed Salah is scheduled to travel to Liverpool. If Egypt advances to the semifinals, he intends to take a flight back out for the remaining stages of the AFCON.
Salah is already out of Egypt’s next two games, assuming they advance to the competition’s final rounds. He’ll be at the match on Monday against Cape Verde, and then he’ll fly back to Merseyside to be seen by Liverpool medical professionals.
A statement from the Egyptian Football Association said: “After additional examinations were conducted on Mohamed Salah during the last hours, and after communication between the national team’s medical staff and his counterpart at Liverpool FC, it was decided that the player will return to England after the Cape Verde match tomorrow to complete his treatment, with the hope that he will join the national team in the semi-final of the AFCON if we qualify.”
Following Liverpool’s 4-0 victory against Bournemouth, Jurgen Klopp stated, “It makes sense that he’s doing the rehab with us or with our people, regardless of how long he’s out. Probably everybody sees it like this.”

Despite his hamstring issue, Klopp believes the player will be able to play against Fulham in their Carabao Cup semi-final second leg.
Last week, Klopp stated: “Maybe we will see how the boys do for Fulham. But Trent, Dom, and Robbo are all close. Everything is moving in the correct manner, which is encouraging, but not for the game this weekend.”
