Sukhbir Singh Badal, the head of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the deputy chief minister of Punjab, released a song and video titled “Lalkar” (which means “challenge”) on Tuesday in response to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) son

g “Nasha,” which was released last month and talks about intoxicants. However, until Tuesday night, there was only a teaser available on YouTube; the entire song is probably going to be released this week.

The Student Organization of India (SOI), a SAD wing, supports “Lalkar,” which is also spelled “Lalkaar” in the teaser video. According to SOI, it is “a befitting reply to sung by one of the AAP leaders,” Kumar Vishwas. Meetpal Singh Dugri, the president of SOI for Malwa zone 3, sings it. The state coordinator of SOI, Parmbans Singh Bunty Romana, was also present during the release. Through personal allusions, it exalts Punjab’s past and traditions.

“In ‘Lalkar,’ lyricist Satta Gill not only took aim at AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal for deceiving the public with false propaganda, but also launched a frontal attack on Kumar Vishwas for characterizing Punjabis as drug addicts in his latest song,” a press statement from the SAD stated.

Sukhbir “dared the opposition parties to shed away misleading campaigns targeted to defame Punjab and Punjabis, and have some guts to compete the SAD-BJP alliance on its development agenda,” the announcement stated. The song will be aired on all Punjabi channels by the SOI.
