NFL reports sad news on Cincinnati Bengals Head Coach………

According to a Browns insider, Cleveland may lose a coach to Tennessee’s staff in light of recent news that the Titans have hired Brian Callahan as their new head coach.

There were rumors circulating on Monday that the Tennessee Titans were going to hire Brian Callahan, the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals, as their next head coach. Should the trade actually go through, the Cleveland Browns may end up with some unpleasant news.

According to Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot, the coaching staff of the Titans may hire Brian’s father, offensive line coach Bill Callahan, after the deal is completed in Cleveland. Even if nothing is official just yet, it wouldn’t be surprising if the father-son team desired to collaborate.

Fans of the Browns have been concerned about losing Callahan to another staff member in the past. The Chicago, IL native was asked to interview for the open position with the New York Jets in January of last year, but he eventually turned it down and signed a contract extension to stay in Cleveland.

That being said, he might find it more difficult to refuse his son.

About a week after the Browns reorganized their coaching staff, Callahan may be leaving. It would be devastating to lose the 67-year-old assistant, since OC Alex Van Pelt, running backs coach Stump Mitchell, and tight ends coach T.C. McCartney were all sacked after Cleveland’s NFL Wild Card Round loss.

In 1980, Callahan started his coaching career as an assistant coach for the Illinois Fighting Illini. Before coming to the Philadelphia Eagles in 1995 as an O-line coach, he worked for the following fifteen years in a variety of college football roles.

After that, he worked for a number of NFL teams for the better part of the following three decades. During that time, he was named the head coach of both the Raiders (2002–2003) and Nebraska (2004–2007).

When Callahan joined the Browns in 2020, it didn’t take long for supporters to realize he is among the league’s top O-line coaches. Losing him to the Titans (or anybody else) might cause the offense to regress. His work with the frontline has been a major factor in Cleveland having one of the greatest ground attacks over the last four seasons.

Ultimately, it appears that the Browns will have to exert a great deal of pressure to stop Callahan from signing a contract with the Titans. While competing in the Super Bowl and making the playoffs is one thing, nothing can ever fully replace the influence of family.
