Former Bolton Wanderers Captain Makes Non-League Switch…

In the last few months, Brockbank has been honing his craft at St Patrick’s Athletic of the Irish Premier League, making 24 appearances in all competitions.

Along with contributing to St Pat’s very good third-place League of Ireland result, he would assist the team win the FAI Cup in November.

The 25-year-old defender is most recognized for his efforts with Bolton Wanderers in England, even though he has most recently pursued his career overseas and also spent time at El Paso in the United States.

Brockbank has played for the Trotters in all three League One, League Two, and Championship competitions, totaling 37 club appearances. The defender joined Bolton when he was seven years old and played for the team in a number of age levels before making his debut for the team in 2019.

In addition to being regarded highly during his early years with the team, Brockbank captained the group twice. It’s surprising that the 25-year-old has moved down to the Northern Premier League even though he may not have reached his full potential.

Having said that, Radcliffe has given Brockbank the opportunity to establish himself in English football once more—something that it appears no team higher up in the football hierarchy desired to accomplish.

The defender discussed the transfer to Radcliffe with club media, saying as follow

“I’m happy to have joined Radcliffe. I’ve been in training for a few weeks now, and I’ve had a great experience getting to know the guys and collaborating with the managers!

“I was expecting to come in and help carry on the good run the players are in, maybe concluding the campaign with some trophy to our name. Obviously, the team has been performing well so far this season.

I already have some pals here, including Luca Navarro and Nicky Adams.

Although Brockbank’s fall to the seventh division is somewhat surprising, Radcliffe appears to be a really aggressive team. They have an excellent chance of playing in the National League North next season, as they are currently leading the standings and five points ahead of second.

If he returns to form, Brockbank should be able to lead them to victory and emerge as one of the division’s finest players. At just twenty-five years old, the right-back still has a lot of development ahead of him in the correct Radcliffe system.
