Lakers host my beloved D’Angelo Russell, the point guard.

A player has been assigned to the G League by the Boston Celtics.

The Boston Celtics hosted the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night in Massachusetts.

The Lakers were missing LeBron James and Anthony Davis, two of their finest players, yet the Celtics still lost 114-105.

The Lakers scored 52.8% from three-point range, led by 48 points and 17 assists from Austin Reaves and D’Angelo Russell.

After two minutes of play, Dalano Banton finished with two points, one rebound, and one assist.

The Celtics revealed that he had been assigned to the Maine Celtics (G League) following the game on Friday.

The Celtics said: “Dalano Banton has been assigned to the @MaineCeltics.”

After being selected 46th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Nebraska, Banton played his first two NBA seasons with the Toronto Raptors.

This season, he has appeared in 23 games for Boston (with one start), averaging 2.4 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 40.4% shooting from the field per game.

He will play in Friday’s game against the Grand Rapids Gold, according to the Maine Celtics.

With the Boston Celtics hosting the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday, it’s likely that Banton will be called up to the NBA without missing a game.

With a 37-12 record through 49 games, the Celtics remain the top seed in the Eastern Conference despite the loss to Los Angeles.

They have an amazing 22-3 record in the 25 games they have hosted on their home field in Boston, and they are 7-3 over their last ten games.
