Five Hurricanes Receive Invitations To The 2024 NFL Combine In Indianapolis

Miami had their most invitees since 2021, up from just two last season.

Five Hurricanes have been invited to the 2024 NFL Combine, indicating that there would be a significant increase in the number of Pro Canes for the next season.

Following the 2023 season, a few of Miami players declared for the draft, hoping to hear their names called on selection day. With the issuance of the 2024 NFL Combine invites, five Hurricanes will have the opportunity to demonstrate to scouts what they can provide at the next level.

The invitees are listed as follows:

OL Javion Cohen

OL Matt Lee

DL Leonard Taylor III

DB Kamren Kinchen

Despite playing some linebacker during the bowl season and gaining some weight, Williams is labeled as a defensive back for the forthcoming combine.

In Mel Kiper Jr.’s positional rankings for the 2024 Draft, Cohen is ranked seventh best guard, Lee sixth best center, Taylor fifth best defensive lineman, Kinchens second best safety, and Williams seventh best safety.

Miami’s five invitees are the most they’ve had since 2021. In that draft, Miami had two first-round choices, Jaelan Phillips to the Dolphins and Greg Rousseau to the Bills.

The combine will be held in Indianapolis from February 26th to March 4th, with the NFL Draft in Detroit beginning April 25th and running through the 27th.

Miami has yet to disclose when their Pro Day will be held.
