The Minnesota Vikings have picked at number 42 three times in the NFL Draft.
It is said that the NFL draft is a crapshoot. A player deserving of the Hall of Fame may be found almost anyplace; the hardest part is figuring out who they are. While some teams struggle to uncover strong players in the first round, when it’s simplest to spot those skills, others are able to find tremendous potential anywhere.

The Vikings selected Hansen in the third round of the 1966 draft, and he played until 1977. Before joining the Atlanta Falcons, he was a player with the Vikings for just two seasons. Before concluding his final two seasons with the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks, Hep played for them for seven years.
It seemed like a deal when the Vikings selected Booth in the second round of the 2022 draft. Booth was considered one of the top-15 prospects coming into the combine. Sadly, Booth’s surgery on his core muscles prevented him from testing at the combine, which sent him to the second round. His performance has been inconsistent since he had his second knee injury—a torn meniscus during his first year of high school football. Though he still has a long way to go, there is still optimism that he will make the next move.
