Why Jaylen Brown of the Celtics chose to take part in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest
The premier player for the Celtics recognizes the skill of the dunk.
The most well-known competitor in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday night during All-Star Weekend is without a doubt Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics.
Upon being questioned about his decision to play, the Celtics wing said:
Brown stated, “I believe dunking is a really cool art form. And from the beginning to the present, it has always been. Thus, it is disappointing to witness the Dunk Contest’s discontinuation. It is an art form, in my opinion. It’s all about the show for me. It concerns the build-up and lead-up.
What is the star of the Celtics up to? “Once they see the replay and slow down some of what I do tonight, I think people will really enjoy it.” However, I consider dunking to be an art form, and I believe that I am the only player who has done a greater job of dunking on someone than others.
This season, Brown has been an incredible dunker for the Celtics. Brown is a fierce in-game dunker who has a career best of 63 points for a season, which he achieved last year. Brown has already thrown it down 58 times this season.
As an all-around skill player, Brown has produced a highlight reel of dunks while playing for the Celtics. When it comes to dunking on his opponents, Brown feels he is among the best players of all time since he does it so ruthlessly most of the time. This is something that will undoubtedly draw a lot of attention.
Jacob Toppin, Mac McClung, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. will be Brown’s opponents.
