The Miami Hurricanes defeated NJIT in a walk-off to start the Arteaga era.
With a walk-off, the Miami Hurricanes’ first win under new head coach J.D. Arteaga and a taste of the Mark Light magic couldn’t be much sweeter. The visiting New Jersey Institute of Technology Highlanders were upset 8-7 in walk-off fashion by the Hurricanes, who were able to record their first victory under J.D. Atreaga in front of an announced crowd of 3,068 supporters at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field.
