BREKLNG NEWS :coach suspense five play because New Orleans Saints…

The Saints’ facility’s HBCU combine is still growing significantly ahead of the NFL Draft.

This year’s HBCU Combine in New Orleans was another success, and these offensive players might have raised their stock on Monday.

METAIRIE: The HBCU Combine was held at the Saints practice facility in Metairie for the second consecutive year. This is the event’s third year running; the first took place in 2022 at the University of South Alabama Jaguar Training Centre.

With 31 of 32 NFL clubs present, including many with at least two scouts, 47 athletes did a great job representing HBCUs on Monday. For the second year in a row, Omar Khan, the general manager of the Steelers and a native of New Orleans, was also in attendance. Even on the practice field, he made it a point to speak with one of the prospects. A number of other noteworthy people were present, including Doug Williams (co-founder of the Black College Football Hall of Fame and MVP of Super Bowl XXII), Steve Wyche (NFL Network), and Charles Davis (NFL on CBS).

Naturally, with it being in the Saints’ backyard, several team members appeared in addition to assisting with drills, hosting, and equipment services. Along with a few position coaches, Mickey Loomis, Jeff Ireland, Khai Harley, and Dennis Allen all played for New Orleans. Alvin Kamara, Cam Jordan, Malcolm Roach, and other players were also present to provide their support; Kamara even snapped some pictures with some of the draft prospects. We even witnessed a few Saints players who we haven’t seen in a while working out alone.

The NFL and HBCU Legacy Bowl have partnered to create the HBCU Combine, an event that highlights the abilities of prospective draft prospects who have graduated from HBCUs and submitted draft declarations.
