Good news; Georgia State Baseball is shut out by Georgia Baseball.

Tuesday’s single-game out-of-conference game between the Georgia Bulldogs and Georgia State baseball team took place in Atlanta, Georgia. Following a run of

v outstanding offensive performances at the plate, the Diamond Dawgs recently completed a three-game sweep in the season-opening series against UNC Asheville. The Panthers, on the other hand, entered the game today with a 1-2 record following their weekend sweep of two games against New Orleans.

The Bulldogs were off to a fast start thanks to a single homerun hit by Charlie Condon at the top of the first inning. Thanks to a few wild pitches from the Panthers and a triple by Logan Jordan that scored three runs, the Dawgs would add another run in the inning and would increase their advantage to seven by the end of the second inning.

For the remainder of the game, head coach Wes Johnson would use a variety of arms to complete the task and rotate through the Panthers’ lineup. In the end, the Bulldogs would win 15-0, pulling away with the championship.

With three hits, four runs scored, three RBIs, and two home runs in a flawless day at the plate, Condon put on another stellar display. Dylan Goldstein ended with two hits, three runs scored, a double, and a triple on Tuesday, making him another difficult out. The Purdue transfer Paul Toetz joined in the fun as well, extending Georgia’s lead to 14 with a three-run home run at the start of the eighth inning.

The Bulldogs put on yet another full lineup performance at the dish to secure their fourth consecutive win of the year and maintain their perfect record in coach Johnson’s inaugural campaign. The Dawgs will now play three more games at home this weekend against Northern Kentucky before visiting Foley Field in the middle of the week to play Presbyterian and Michigan State. On Friday, the team will travel to Georgia Tech for a three-game rivalry series.
