La Liga outfit Real Betis are still waiting for West Ham United to submit their opening bid for Brazilian defender Luiz Felipe, according to Estadio Deportivo.

However, according to Estadio Deportivo (14 July), Betis have been waiting for over a week for West Ham to submit their offer, with the La Liga outfit still wanting around €20m (£17.1m) in order to reinforce their own squad this summer.
Rice replacement the priority
West Ham desperately need defensive reinforcements having struggled with a huge number of injury problems last season, drastically causing their disappointing form in the Premier League.
egular for five Serie A seasons.
Angelo Ogbonna, Kurt Zouma, Thilo Kehrer and Nayef Aguerd all endured periods on the treatment table last year, and it’s why the reports have emerged over the past month linking the Irons with the likes of Manchester City’s Taylor Harwood-Bellis and AS Roma’s Roger Ibanez as well as Felipe.
However, while there is a need to strengthen the centre of defence, replacing the outbound Declan Rice remains the number one priority, with the Hammers reportedly making contact to sign Edson Alvarez and continuing discussions for Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria.
The Hammers already have options in defence, but no solid midfield option in Rice’s absence.
Also, the East Londoners are still waiting for Arsenal to officially sign the paperwork so the club can get the cash in order to strengthen the squad, and until that happens, Betis will need to wait a little while longer.
Ex-West Ham United manager reportedly wants to sign Pablo Fornals this summer.
West Ham star Pablo Fornals is being linked with an exit from the London Stadium in the summer transfer windowFornals just didn’t play enough last season, with Moyes often choosing to him to use him as a late substitute or sometimes, not at all.
And it seems as though Pablo could be reunited with one of his former managers…
Ex-West Ham manager wants to sign Pablo Fornals this summer
According to a report from Estadio Deportivo, Manuel Pellegrini is very interested in bringing Fornals to Real Betis this summer.
The Chilean signed the midfielder for West Ham when he was in charge of the London Stadium in the summer of 2019. And now a report from Spain suggests that Pellegrini wants to sign him again.
If this is true, I really wouldn’t be surprised one little bit if Moyes allowed the Spaniard to leave the London Stadium.
He’s clearly not a huge fan of Pablo – he would have used him much more last season if he was.
The thing is, if West Ham do sell Pablo Fornals this summer, replacing him will be absolutely vital.
As things stand, there doesn’t seem to be much movement in our transfer business, so adding another position where we have to strengthen to the mix probably wouldn’t be the wisest of moves.
Fornals is hugely popular at the London Stadium, so selling him would definitely not go down too well in the East End.
It will be interesting to see what the Hammers do though, if Betis come in with a concrete offer for the former Villarreal man.
