Luton Town – Analysing Our Abundance Of Attacking Talent

The summer transfer window doesn’t close until the end of August, as well as some more arrivals, it wouldn’t surprise me if there were to be a few departures.

Now whether these departures will be permanent or merely loans remains to be seen.

But, if we take a look at our attacking department, and I sincerely apologise if I’ve missed anybody out, we have a plethora of players.

Looking at those that served us well last season, we have:

• Carlton Morris
• Elijah Adebayo
• Cauley Woodrow

all of whom I expect to serve us well over the coming months.

Already during this summer transfer window, we’ve added some more attacking strength in the shape of:

• Chiedozie Ogbene
• Tahith Chong

although it should be mentioned that the duo named above are more likely to play out wide but cutting inside when the opportunity arises.

But it shouldn’t be forgotten that we, over the last twelve months or so, have added some young talent to the squad in the shape of:

• John McAtee
• Joe Taylor
• Aribim Pepple

Lurking in the background, we also still, as I write, have the following duo on our books:

• Carlos Mendes Gomes
• Admiral Muskwe

both of whom were out on loan last season.

Clearly, we have an abundance of attacking talent and I could even include Fred Onyedinma in the equation.

With there being no U23 side to utilise our abundance of talent, I can foresee several being sold or sent out on loan.

Being brutally frank, I can’t see either Gomes or Muskwe being with the club this coming season, both, I reckon, will be sold.

Also, I reckon when it comes to McAtee, Taylor and Pepple, my belief is that Taylor will remain with us and Pepple and McAtee will be loaned out, or possibly moved on.

Have I made a fair assessment of the situation, or would you beg to differ?
