Former Crystal Palace and Millwall keeper set for Wolves switch
Former crystasl palace and Millwall goalkeeper Tom King is set to join Wolves.
The 28-year-old is a free agent from July 1 when his Northampton Town contract expires.
King was called up to the Wales national team for their most recent European Championship qualifiers earlier this summer.
And Tony Roberts, who is the goalkeeping coach at Wolves and also for Wales, has recommended him as a potential signing for the Premier League outfit.
Roberts is a big admirer of King, who Palace signed from Portsmouth in a £40,000 deal in 2011.
He never made a senior appearance for the Eagles – his pathway blocked by a heavily-stocked goalkeeping department – before a 2014 free transfer across South London to Millwall.
King made 17 appearances for the Lions in the 2016-17 season, which ended in promotion to the Championship via the League One play-offs.
He has got plenty more first-team experience under his belt at Newport County and Salford City.
King had loan spells earlier in his career at Stevenage and AFC Wimbledon – leaving Charlton as the only South London club he has not represented.
He had already been linked with Wolves in recent weeks.
