Juventus willing to pay £34.6m to sign Gianluca Scamacca from West Ham United
Juventus want to sign Gianluca Scamacca from West Ham as a potential replacement for Federico Chiesa and are willing to pay £34.6m, according to Fichajes.net.
Writing on their official website (22 July), the Spanish news outlet reports that the Hammers forward has emerged as a target for the Serie A giants as they look to bolster their forward line.
Dusan Vlahovic and Chiesa have both been tipped to leave this summer, and Scamacca is now being eyed as a replacement with the club willing to splash the cash to land his signature.
“Gianluca Scamacca has become one of the great objectives of Juventus in Turin for next season, and even more so after Federico Chiesa has been declared transferable, betting on the now West Ham United player to fill that offensive vacancy that would remain on the Bianconeri squad,” they wrote.
“After a season in which things have not turned out as expected in the Premier League, Scamacca, for which Juventus could put up close to 40 million euros (£34.6m) for his signing, would thus have the opportunity to take the great leap in his sports career by signing a new contract with teams like the one led by Massimiliano Allegri, who would have been the main supporter for the arrival of the transalpine attacker.”
There is far too much smoke for there to be no fire about the future of Scamacca, and fans are probably smart to start preparing for his departure this summer.
There was a heap of excitement last summer when the club splashed the best part of £35m to bring him to the Premier League, and it seemed justified when he started the campaign with six goals in his first 12 games.
But injuries really hampered his progress and then he couldn’t get into the team under David Moyes, and a return to Italy now seems like the most obvious outcome.
There has been plenty of talk about a loan move away, but if Juventus are really willing to spend big money and give the Hammers their money back to take him then it is easily the best option for the club.
Get your money back and look for a new striker to come in and take his place, while letting someone who doesn’t want to be here move on.

West Ham are interested in signing Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert to replace Aaron Cresswell, according to ExWHUemployee.
Rennes are poised to be open to selling French youth international left-back over the summer despite the 21-year-old appearing in the majority of Rennes matches last season.
Under contract with Rennes until June 2025, the Brittany side are open to the French youth international’s departure for a deal of around €15m (£13m), potentially excluding bonuses.
The 21-year-old, classified as a ‘wunderkind’ by data analytics site Soccerment, his default position is left back but he can also play left wing back.
Truffert has made one appearance for the French senior squad and is tipped to hold down a regular place.
Aston Villa were keen tp sign him during the January window, a bid that was rejected by Rennes Sporting Director Florian Maurice.
Inter Milan also demonstrated a strong interest in the French U21 full-back, but L’Équipe reckon that Truffert’s most likely next destination is the Premier League.
