HUGE BOOST ;West Ham United deal for Manchester City classic star is almost done

Red Bull model close to taking off as West Ham close in on Taylor Harwood-Bellis signing

A deal to take Manchester City centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis to West Ham United is ‘almost done’.

According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, West Ham are very close to signing Manchester City defender Taylor Hardwood-Bellis in the summer transfer window.

The East London outfit have already been linked with a move to sign the 21-year-old Man City starlet, and he’s allegedly available for around £15 million.

Hammers boss David Moyes is clearly very keen indeed to bolster his central defensive ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

And it seems as though Harwood-Bellis is the man that the Scot really wants…

Tuttomercatoweb claim that the Hammers are very close to bringing the 21-year-old Man City man to the London Stadium.

I think this would be a hugely exciting signing for West Ham this summer.

The centre-back spent last season on loan with Burnley and he really impressed at Turf Moor. He is very highly rated indeed at Manchester City.

However, he is out of contract at the Etihad in the summer of 2024, so Pep Guardiola is clearly prepared to allow the young defender to depart the club on a permanent basis this summer.

The Telegraph recently described Harwood-Bellis as an ‘elite’ young player.

In 32 Championship outings for the Clarets last season, the 21-year-old centre-back averaged 1.1 tackles, 1.8 interceptions, 3.1 clearances and 2.8 successful aerial duels per game (Who Scored).

He’s a brilliant passer of the football as well and is so comfortable in possession, as you would expect from someone who has played under Pep and Vincent Kompany. In 32 league games this season, he made 81.1 passes per match on average and recorded a completion rate of 85.3 (Who Scored).

This is the kind of signing that the Hammers fans have been calling for for quite some time now.

West Ham signing Taylor Harwood-Bellis would be a major statement as far as I’m concerned.

West Ham have tonight revealed exclusively to Claret and Hugh  they are now close to signing Manchester Cirty winger Carlos Borges from Manchester City

The fee is understood to be in the region of £15 million but the bad news is that he is the only player anywhere close to  becoming a new Hammer.

With just three weeks left to until we travel to Bournemouth for the start of the season, unless David Moyes makes rapid progress in the window we could go into the campaign short of squad numbers.

Concerned about the situation we simply asked our key source at the club whether we were anywhere near bringing new players in.

He said: “Only the boy from Man City, otherwise it is very hard work and the fees crazy. We offered £50m for the Fulham player Palhina which was rejected and we won’t be going any higher.”

Borges joined City from Sporting in 2014 and the winger is now regarded as one of the most talented players in any English youth academy.

The Portugal Under-19 international is said to be frustrated at the Etihad with Pep Guardiola’s offering him little chance of getting regular first-team opportunities.
