Hours before his contract with Crystal Palace expires, a major international star posts a mysterious message.

Wilfried Zaha posts cryptic message hours before Crystal Palace contract expires

Wilfried Zaha has left heads scratching over his latest post with his Crystal Palace contract set to expire.

The 30-year-old is understood to have offers from across the globe, including Italian clubs and Saudi Arabian clubs, over a free transfer.

Fenerbahce have also been heavily linked with a switch while Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal have been interested in the past.

Paris Saint-Germain are also a potential shock destination as they scour the bargain bin for Lionel Messi replacements.

Zaha will see his contract at Crystal Palace expire on Thursday – just hours away.

But the forward has given hope to Palace fans tat he might extend his stay at Selhurst Park after his latest social media activity.

The Ivory Coast international took to Instagram to post to his story, posting a simple picture of Palace’s training ground in Beckenham, Greater London, to signify that he had arrived.

It has sparked a flurry of speculation that he was attending to put pen to paper over a new contract with the Eagles.

Zaha has a £200,000-a-week offer sitting on the table at Selhurst Park, which would be a record contract for the club.

He’s had a busy week having teamed up with UK rapper Stormzy to buy a local team in the Croydon area.

Whether or not Zaha does stay at Palace, there can be no disputing that he will go down as a club legend after years of services.

Bar a brief yet unsuccessful spell at Manchester United, the Ivory Coast-born star has spent his entire professional career at the club.

Only two other players in Palace’s history have more appearances for him, as he sits on 458 – with only Terry Long (480) and Jim Cannon (660) playing more.

And he also has 90 goals in all competitions, which makes him the tenth-highest goalscorer for the Eagles as well.

Zaha’s potential decision to stay might also come down to the fact that Roy Hodgson has opted to stick around for at least another season.

After leaving the club in 2021 when his contract expired, the 75-year-old made a grand return to Palace after Patrick Vieira was sacked.

And he successfully guided the Eagles away from a relegation battle to finish in 11th in the Premier League.

Hodgson has proved popular with the players and the fans while young stars like Michael Olise and Ebere Eze have looked exciting prospects.
