West Ham looking to raid London rivals for 26-year-old defender
West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing the Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney this summer.
burnley are now going to sign a wanderful player this season
A report from Football Transfers claims that David Moyes has identified the 26-year-old Scottish international as a potential target. The player has been linked with Newcastle United as well.
West Ham currently have Aaron Cresswell as their only dependable left-back option, but he is 33 years old and West Ham will have to start planning for a future without him.
Tierney has struggled for regular game time at Arsenal and the opportunity to play more often at West Ham could be tempting for him. The 26-year-old will look to get his career back on track and a move away from Arsenal would be ideal for the player.
The Scottish international was regarded as one of the best young defensive talents during his time at Celtic and he could be a key player for West Ham in the coming seasons.
It remains to be seen whether the Gunners are prepared to sanction his departure to a rival club.
Arsenal recently signed Declan Rice from West Ham United in a British transfer record deal and they could demand a premium for Tierney if the Hammers come calling.
West Ham will be competing in the Europa League next season and they need a better squad in order to do well across multiple competitions.
They looked vulnerable defensively last season and someone like Tierney would help them tighten up at the back and the 26-year-old could make a big difference going forward as well.

West Ham have seen an improved bid for Harry Maguire rejected although considered not far from Manchester United’s valuation, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
Our Hammers saw a busy day in the transfer market yesterday, with the club seeing an acceptance of a bid for Ajax defensive midfielder Edson Alvarez, followed by offers for Maguire and his Red Devils teammate Scott McTominay.
Whilst both bids, reported by Ex to be £30m each, were both rejected – our club insider has revealed that the Maguire offer was seen as ‘much closer’ as to what Manchester United would require to accept the bid.
“We have returned with an offer for both Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay, both of which were £30m offers,” reported our Podcast co-host Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.
“McTominay’s was rejected pretty quickly with Manchester United looking for around £45m, as was Maguire’s eventually but that a deal was much closer for him.”
It is felt that if a slightly improved offer is made by West Ham then it could well be accepted, although the next stumbling block would be the players wages.
“If a slightly improved deal is eventually accepted there will need to be some serious movement on his wages from Maguire for this deal to happen and it remains to be seen how much he is prepared to budge.
“He has apparently become more welcoming to a move to West Ham than he originally was having been told he has no real future at the Red Devils.”
