Having missed out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, Liverpool are moving fast to find alternatives to add to the defensive midfield position, with Doucoure now firmly on Jurgen Klopp’s radar

Valued at £50m, Doucoure impressed in his debut Premier League season last year as Palace stayed up comfortably after Roy Hodgson returned to the south London club.

And now, Liverpool are interested in signing Doucoure, who could be an incredible signing for the Reds given his age and his experience already playing in the Premier League.

Indeed, whilst Palace’s asking price might be an issue, Liverpool have shown this summer they’re willing to spend big on the right player, and Doucoure could be just that for the Reds.

Starting the summer linked with Caicedo and Lavia and ending up with Endo and Doucoure is something no Liverpool fan could have predicted, yet that’s exactly what could be happening this window.

With the Stuttgart midfielder seemingly wrapped up, attention must now turn to Doucoure, who could be a fantastic addition for the Reds this summer.

Premier League experienced, young and full of potential, Doucoure ticks a lot of boxes Liverpool fans are looking for in a midfield signing, with steps seemingly now being taken to bring the 23-year-old to Anfied
