Defender Bendeguz Bolla looks to be on his way out of Wolves – with Servette named as his next destination.

The 23 year old Hungarian international joined from Fehervar in 2021 but hasn’t made a first team appearance for Wolves having spent the last two seasons on loan at Grasshopper Zurich.

Now the full back is set to move on an initial loan that could turn into a permanent deal. That’s according to Fabrizio Romano who says: “Wolves full back Bendeguz Bolla will join Servette on loan with an option to buy – deal sealed. Medical scheduled on Monday.”

Geneva based Servette are eighth in the Swiss Super League, one place above Grasshoppers, with six points from their opening five games of the season.

He won’t be the only Wolves player competing in that division this season as Nigel Lonwijk and Theo Corbeanu have joined Grasshoppers on season long loans. Defender Lonwijk was on loan at Plymouth last season while forward Corbeanu had loans at Blackpool and Arminia Bielefeld.

Meanwhile, Wolves return to action on Tuesday when they are at home to League One Blackpool in the Carabao Cup. Gary O’Neil’s side won 1-0 at Everton in the Premier League on Saturday thanks to substitute Sasa Kalajdzic’s goal three minutes from time.

They say the transfer window is a marathon rather than a sprint. But Celtic need to make a dash for the finishing line if the frustrated Hoops supporters are going to be satisfied with the work done by the Parkhead powerbrokers this summer.

Brendan Rodgers might have made six signings since returning to the club for a second spell in charge. But it hasn’t been enough to please fans – and pundits and former players – who want to see quality additions rather than project players. Record Sport columnist Chris Sutton said at the weekend that last season’s Treble winners might need to sign up to FIVE players in the remaining days of the window.

They have lost quality in Jota and Carl Starfelt but those who have come through the door so far are players for the future. Fans want to see players who will raise the quality and help the club make an impact in the Champions League. Luis Palma is due to arrive within the next 48 hours but the Honduran should just be the start. Here, Record Sport looks at some of the others linked with Celtic this summer and the state of play on each.

The Swiss pass master was strongly linked with Celtic and Bundesliga side Wolfsburg earlier this summer. But it appears France is his next destination as cash-rich Rennes are eyeing a transfer splash in the wake of Jeremy Doku’s £55.5m move to Manchester City. Rieder plays deeper than Pep Guardiola’s shiny new toy but the Ligue 1 side are eyeing a splash before the window.

Boss Bruno Genesio hinted a midfielder could be incoming and the £12m-rated schemer appears destined for a move before the window closes. Young Boys want top money for one of Switzerland’s best young talents.

The rapid Nantes star was a name on the Celtic agenda and now a Nantes exit path could be in the offing. The French League Cup winners are on the verge of signing versatile left-sided defender Jean-Kévin Duverne. The report in France states the former France youth cap will compete with Merlin for minutes but it leaves the exit door ajar for the rampaging left-back with a slew of suitors. A situation to keep an eye on in the final days of the transfer window.

The deal for Luis Palma, more on him in a minute, will be rubber-stamped in the next 48 hours but a move for Daniel Podence couldn’t happen as well, could it? The diminutive Wolves wide man remains searching for his next move and Molineux boss Gary O’Neill has served the Portugal international it straight over what will happen in the coming days.

O’Neill said: “At the moment the squad’s ambition and where we’re trying to get to and Daniel’s aren’t aligned. So at this moment it’s best we focus on our own goals. Also Daniel isn’t part of that at this moment but that doesn’t mean he won’t be here come the end of the window. Things move fast in the transfer window, especially in the last week, so I’m sure things can and will change.”

But one deal which is all but agreed is Luis Palma. His flight plan has led him to London where he will complete the formalities of his deal before heading to Glasgow to be unveiled. And he is in the mix to feature against Rangers at Ibrox – the side he was linked with for much of the summer. The £3.5m man will wear the iconic No.7 and will pen a four-year deal in Glasgow’s east end.
