Eagles player Alex Iwobi discusses his decision to join Fulham.

 

 

Iwobi has high expectations for Fulham after joining on the last day of the transfer window.

Alex Iwobi, a midfielder for the Super Eagles, told Soccernet that he chose Fulham over Everton because he liked the club’s plans for the future.

On the final day of the transfer window, Iwobi left Everton for neighboring English Premier League club Fulham in a move worth £22 million. One of the top players at Everton was the versatile midfielder, who is 27 years old.

he club’s fight for survival. He played in all 38 of his team’s Premier League contests last year, which was crucial.

 

Everton has lost its first three Premier League games this season, so their future is currently uncertain. They also have a transfer policy.

Iwobi was the shining light in Everton’s darkness, but he has now joined the Cottagers. The Nigerian has now revealed that the project at Fulham was what attracted him. He also stated that he is looking forward to walking with coach Marco Silva as they worked together at Everton two years ago

“Marco Silva spoke to me and told me about the ambitions of the club[Fulham], and where he wants to go,” Iwobi told Fulham FC TV.

“I’m on board, and I’m hoping I can bring something to Fulham. He wants to challenge for things and I feel like he gave me the confidence boost. I hope I’m able to repay the faith.”

Iwobi is currently nursing a hamstring injury, but he should be back in action for Fulham after the international break
