Luis Binks could be forgiven for wondering if he made the right choice to join Coventry City on loan from Italian club Bologna this summer.
The much-loved 22-year-old joined the Sky Blues last month to help fill the left-back position following the return of impressive loan duo last season Callum Doyle and Jonathan Panzo.
But since joining CBS Arena, Joel Latibeaudiere – recruited from Swansea to play on the right flank – started a campaign on the left flank of central character Kyle McFadzean and quickly established himself in the bottom three.
, leaving Binks stuck on the bench.
Then, on transfer deadline day, Mark Robins spent around £4.
5m on Barnsley captain Liam Kitching, a left-footed centre-back with League experience.
So where will that lead Binks?
“I know Luis hasn’t played and I’m sure he’ll feel a bit ‘what’s going on’ but he shouldn’t feel that way because there will be a lot of opportunities for everyone,” the City manager explained.
