Robbie Brady has had to wait to start Preston North End’s season, so the Irishman is feeling fine after his first start of the season.

Lilywhites boss Ryan Lowe named the starting 11 in his starting XI at Rotherham United last Saturday, as Brady completed 70 minutes and provided an excellent assist for Liam Lindsay’s equalizer. draw. Brady has Liam Millar to compete with on the left wing this season, after sharing the workload with Alvaro Fernandez in his first year at Deepdale.Brady made a total of 34 appearances last season and wants to continue to contribute as much as possible. North End ruled out the 31-year-old this summer amid a calf problem, with Lowe keen to properly manage the injury and prevent a recurrence. The winger has featured in PNE’s last three matches and now wants to start from the start. Yeah, I feel brand new now and I can’t wait to get going,” Brady said. “The early season results have been excellent so you look forward to it because you know you are getting closer and closer. I probably could have come back a week or two quicker than before, but I took my time and felt really strong. I’m in good form at the moment and the more minutes I get, the better I get into the season. I’m excited about what lies ahead

Brady has seen eight new players enter the dressing room this summer, with Lowe refreshing the North End squad in the form of six permanent players and two loan additions. North End’s number 11 credits the club’s recruitment as a major reason for the strong start to the season as well as the spirit and unity in the camp.

“It definitely brings competition, but not only that,” Brady said. “It’s about working together, as a team. The guys have a lot of experience in this department and we talk often about what we want to do. It’s a very close-knit group, but if we all know what we want to do, we can take it game by game and not go too high or too low, knowing what kind of team we are. Playing to our strengths was great. This is probably the best start we could have. We will carry out our work quietly; So far we have put some good points on the board. If you work hard, have a good team and good performances as a foundation, you never know what can happen.

This is Brady’s first conversation with the press since signing a two-year contract with Deepdale earlier this summer. PNE signed the former Burnley player to a 12-month contract last year and staying longer was always the player’s plan. With the contract signed and sealed, he was determined to repay the club’s trust in him.

“Yeah, I’m happy to be here,” Brady said. “I loved the place from the moment I arrived – the environment, the boys, the general atmosphere of the club is fantastic. So to sign here and continue on my journey, I look forward to paying it forward now that I’m here and moving forward. There have been a lot of positives in the past year. Obviously you can always improve as the season progresses, so I’m looking forward to playing as many games as I can – like last season – and hopefully contributing with a few goals and more assists .
