Nearly two years after Beckham left Cleveland, Mayfield was asked about his current standing with his former teammate. The Bucs quarterback was speaking with Pat McAfee for ESPN on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Friday when he was asked if he and Beckham are “friends.”
“Everything is fine now,” Mayfield replied. “We’re doing well right now and it’s part of my growth as a person. At the end of the 2021 NFL season, just a few months after Beckham left, Mayfield also left Cleveland at the end of the 2021 NFL season. the fourth and final year of his rookie contract.
