BREAKING: Kansas City Chiefs Offer Hope For Travis Kelce Before Denver Broncos Game

What does Travis Kelce eat before a Chiefs game? This is his 'secret' diet | Marca

EzoicThe Kansas City Chiefs have better news for tight end Travis Kelce Tuesday than what they offered Monday afternoon. The Chiefs star was listed as a “DNP” on Monday’s injury report for an ankle injury. The DNP was an estimation, as the Chiefs did not have padded practice on Monday.

However, the estimation seemed to make Kelce’s status questionable to play against the Denver Broncos. With the Chiefs having a short turnaround this week for their Thursday night game, there was a possibility the staff could choose to be conservative with Kelce’s injury and sit him against the Broncos.

Kelce’s status at Tuesday’s practice is telling for his availability Thursday night. According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, head coach Andy Reid said Kelce will practice Tuesday.

It’s immediately unclear if Kelce will be a full participant or limited on Tuesday. But the fact he’s playing indicates Kelce is on the path to play the Broncos. That’s much more hopeful than where the Chiefs were Monday night.

The Denver Broncos have been one of the biggest disasters in the 2023 NFL season, and it seems the team’s players see the writing on the wall and know some of them won’t be on the roster much longer.

While the Denver Broncos are not at the very bottom of the current NFL standings, there is no doubt they are viewed around the league as one of the biggest laughing stocks over the first few weeks of the season. Despite the addition of Super Bowl-winning head coach Sean Payton, the poor play that began in 2022 has not changed, and in some ways has gotten worse in the new season.

They head into their NFL Week 6 game against division rivals the Kansas City Chiefs with a 1-4 record, have given up the most points per game in the league (36.2), and have a game where they gave up a shocking 70 points on their resume for the 2023 season. With little hope for a turnaround this year, the team has been the source of a lot of speculation about an impending roster shakeup.

The organization made headlines when they surprisingly traded Randy Gregory last week after giving him a $70 million deal last year. On Tuesday, NFL Media league insider James Palmer claimed that the team’s horrid play this season and the Gregory move have some in the locker room talking about expected changes to the roster in the weeks and months ahead.

The 2023 NFL trade deadline is on Oct. 31, and the Broncos are sure to be at the heart of many rumors of contending teams looking to add pieces for a playoff push in the second half of the season.
