Pilot escapes helicopter crash landing with very minor injuries, according to Collingwood OPP
A helicopter crash-landed in the backyard of a Collingwood, Ontario, home, welcoming a completely different kind of visitor on Monday morning.
Provincial police officers, the Collingwood Fire Department, and emergency medical services responded to reports of a helicopter crash near Mariners Haven in Collingwood just before 10:00 a.m. this morning.
Emergency personnel arrived on the site and found an aircraft parked near to a house on the lake. The chopper was on land.
According to the police, there appears to be some damage to the residence and aircraft from the forceful landing.
According to authorities, after receiving emergency medical attention from EMS, the pilot—the only person inside the aircraft—was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution.

Continuing her great run of form in 2023, Nina Morrison had a fantastic second half against Collingwood on Sunday that almost got the Cats over the finish line.
After the major break, the youthful midfield player made her impact on the game by accumulating 13 disposals, two clearances, and a fantastic goal late in the third half.
In difficult circumstances at Victoria Park, the 22-year-old proved resilient, winning nine contested possessions after the break and accumulating multiple score involvements.
Morrison stated that although though the Cats’ second-half comeback was not successful, they learned a lot from the game that will help them reach new heights in the last two weeks of the season.
Morrison stated, “I thought we fought back really well in the second half.”
“I believe that the second half demonstrated our capacity to respond in less than ideal circumstances.
We need to be able to triumph in a variety of ways, and I believe we will learn a lot from our capacity to turn the tide and turn things around when the odds were stacked against us.
“As group leaders, you must be able to stand up and assist in turning the tide back in our favor when necessary.

Morrison had a quiet first half before moving into the midfield after the major break. In the game, he gained 312 meters, which was the third most on the ground in the muddy and chaotic conditions.
The youthful on-baller, who is averaging a career-high 23 disposals and five tackles per game, is having a fantastic 2023 season, and this performance only helps.
Morrison has continued to be a valuable asset up front for Geelong despite spending more time in the middle this season; in five games this 2023, he has scored a goal.
Morrison has been acknowledged for her excellent play this season; in six of her eight games, she received coach votes, placing her second at the club, only behind Georgie Prespakis.
