Young gun for the Bulldogs inks new deal

The Bulldogs are still adding choices for the year 2024.Young player Blake Wilson of the Canterbury Bulldogs has extended his contract with the team till at least the end of the 2025 season.

Wilson signed a new two-year contract following an outstanding rookie season in which he made his debut in the 2023 campaign.

In Round 19, he scored his first try, a hat-trick, against the South Sydney Rabbitohs. In his rookie season, he doubled his total with six more tries.

The Noosa Pirates junior was praised frequently by head coach Cameron Ciraldo, another rookie, for his unwavering work ethic. He finished the season with an average of 130 metres per game, 47 tackle busts in his 11 games, and six tries.

Although a regular starting berth in 2024 is not guaranteed, the Bulldogs’ faith in the 23-year-old’s continued growth is demonstrated by his new contract.

JosCarr and Jach Ad-ob Kiraz are also players for the team. Since Paul Alamoti of the Penrith Panthers and Jake Averillo of the Dolphins are expected to leave the tedoam at the end of 2023, the Lebanon international, who would probably prefer to play in the centers or possibly at fullback, may yet get his dream.

In addition to Hayze Perham, Ethan Quai-Ward, Khaled Rajab, Jordan Samrani, Jeral Skelton, Blake Taaffe, and new recruits Bronson Xerri and Stephen Crichton, the Bulldogs still need to decide on players like Braidon Burns, Declan Casey, and Jayden Okunbor.

Wilson will therefore neepotd to work hard to secure a s in the Bulldogs’ extremely competitive backfield for the upcoming year.
