Castleford Tigers suffered a triple injury in the first half of their game against Warrington Wolves.
Castleford Tigers suffered a triple injury in the first half of their game against Warrington Wolves, leaving them with just one player on the bench for the rest of the game.
Young prop Sam Hall opened the scoring for the Tigers in the 4th minute, but left the field 10 minutes later to be assessed for a head injury, which he was unable to return to.
And the Tigers suffered a second HIA failure at Halliwell Jones Stadium when striker George Lawler was sent off midway through the first half.
Due to concussion return-to-match protocols, Hall and Lawler will miss next Friday’s game against Hull FC at Mendah a Horse Jungle.
If Danny Ward’s side suffer another HIA failure in this match, the rules would allow them to bring in number 18 Jason Kaalekea.
Castleford’s third injury was sustained by new signing Charbel Tashpare towards the end of the first 40 games.
Sky Sports’ Jenna Brooks said the Lebanon international will miss the remainder of the match with a hamstring injury.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Brooks said: “Things are going from bad to worse for Castleford.
George Lawler has just failed a head injury assessment and Charvel Tashpare has a hamstring injury.
” I can tell you, he’s not coming back, so Castleford couldn’t get there.
” One submarine left.
I think 18th man Jason Kakarekea might need some warm-up.
” During the game, Tigers coach Ward told Sky Sports: “That’s part of the game, unfortunately, but some players.
It’s a chance for me to play.
” I can’t complain because I work a few minutes and make shifts for the team.
“That’s what it is.
