Bradford Bulls hooker James Segeyaro has suffered a serious knee injury.
Bulls interim coach Lee Greenwood has confirmed former NRL hooker James Segeyaro will miss the rest of the season with a “serious knee injury”.
He limped off the field in Bradford’s last game, a stunning win over Buttley, after being hit with a heavy tackle while setting up a try.
This could be Segeyaro’s final act and appearance in Bulls colors, as his current contract only runs through the end of the season.
Ahead of this Sunday’s home game against Newcastle, manager Greenwood told T&A: “However, with the loss of Jorge Taufa to a six-game suspension and James Segeyaro out for the rest of the season, some people will have to fill in.
“He’s at Batley.
I had a serious knee injury and that’s it for the year, including the playoffs.
” “But at least it creates opportunities for other players.
” “A week of no games has brought people closer to fitness, but maybe it’s going to leave players like Chester Butler and Brad England behind.
“Chester will definitely not be available for Newcastle, but Brad practiced a bit on Tuesday night so he might have a chance.
“We’ll see how he’s doing over the weekend.
Greenwood also commented on Taufa, who was handed a six-match ban by the RFL Arbitration Panel on Monday night.
.
Bull can appeal if he wishes.
He said: “I don’t know exactly what was said last night because (CEO) Jason Hurst was with him, not me.
” unless the Bulls make the playoffs.

) “But clearly after looking at the result, the referee’s report and Barrow’s comments, we felt we were behind.
” “The court set aside the decision.
But as bad as the ruling was, we felt we had to fight Jorge’s case.
“Whoever made the decision to downgrade the attack from Class F to Class E; We don’t know why, but we still suspended him for six games.
“We do not agree with this decision and as a club we are considering our options.
“However, we need to consider whether it is worth appealing and ask ourselves whether we feel it would change the outcome of the verdict.
“We will make a decision on this quickly.
