Following the trade that sent Gerald Wallace packing to New Jersey for Mehmet Okur, Shawne Williams and a conditional first-round draft pick, the Blazers front office, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, has decided to part ways with coach Nate McMillan.

With an always injury-ridden roster, McMillan had a 266-259 record as head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers and led his team to three consecutive playoff appearances with three consecutive first-round exits.

Speculation from OregonLive’s John Canzano pointed towards several players working to get McMillan fired and that he had lost his locker room weeks ago.
