unday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, tight end Noah Fant of the Seattle Seahawks sustained a hand injury. Fant was initially deemed doubtful to return, but the team has now declared him out for the duration of the match.

The Seahawks have declared that offensive tackle Abraham Lucas (knee) and center Evan Brown (concussion) will miss the remainder of Sunday’s contest.

After three quarters, Seattle (8-7) was behind Pittsburgh (8-7) 24–17.

STEELERS’ MASON RUDOLPH WILL OPEN AT QB AGAINST SEAHAWKS ON DEC. 29. It should come as no surprise that Mason Rudolph will start as quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon at Lumen Field against the Seattle Seahawks, according to an announcement made by head coach Mike Tomlin following practice on Friday.

In order to increase their chances of earning a Wild Card in the NFC and AFC races, both clubs must win going into this important game (8–7).

Following ankle surgery on December 4, Kenny Pickett, the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, told the media this week that he feels well enough to play. However, Rudolph impressed last week, tossing George Pickens for two touchdowns and 290 yards passing in the 34-11 victory over the Bengals.

It is still unknown if Mitch Trubisky, an experienced player, or Pickett will be Rudolph’s backup for the game.

DEFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR CANDIDATES ARE FEATURED IN DEC. 18 MNF – We know that tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup between the Eagles and Seahawks will feature two contenders for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, even though we’re still unsure if both quarterbacks—Jalen Hurts (sickness) and Geno Smith (groin—will suit up.

Most mock drafts from the previous year predicted that Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter would be selected by Seattle. However, wary of his off-field issues, the Seahawks selected Devon Witherspoon, a cornerback from Illinois, at No. 5. The Eagles traded up to select Carter four choices later.

Both players, along with Texans edge rusher Will Anderson Jr., have had successful seasons and are contenders for DROY. Witherspoon is currently in third place, but Carter is still the clear favorite to win the prize.

In tonight’s showcase game, a big play has the potential to significantly alter the odds and both teams’ playoff seeding.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts (illness) has been officially demoted to questionable for the Seahawks game, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Hurts’ illness got worse over night, so in an effort to contain it, he is traveling apart from the team.
On Monday, the Eagles and Seahawks will kick off at 5:15 p.m. PT.

Drew Lock vs. Marcus Mariota could be on display during Saturday night’s game against the reigning NFC champion Eagles. Both teams’ starting quarterbacks, Jalen Hurts of Philadelphia and Geno Smith of Seattle, are not fully recovered.

matchup between the Eagles, the reigning NFC champions, took place on Saturday night; we might see Drew Lock versus Marcus Mariota. Both Seattle’s Geno Smith and Philadelphia’s Jalen Hurts, who start for their respective teams, are not fully recovered.

Though Smith (groin) and Hurts (illness) are not slated to play until Monday night at Lumen Field, the game is scheduled to go place there. Hurts missed the Eagles’ Saturday practice but is expected to go with the team to Seattle, whereas Smith was not there for the club’s loss to San Francisco last week.

With regard to his status, Smith declared, “I’m going to push to play.” “Every day is better than the last,” he declared. “I’ve been working nonstop to try and get my body in the best possible shape so I can play outside.”

The 10-3 Eagles must triumph in order to remain in the hunt for the top NFC playoff spot, while the sinking Seahawks, who have lost four in a row, need to win in order to maintain their aspirations of earning a Wild Card.

December 11th, Niners Long-SNAPPER DIRECTS MESSAGE TO DK OF SEAHAWKS – The 49ers’ 28-16 victory on Sunday crushed the Seahawks’ hopes of winning the NFC West. And then, in a bit of spicy sign language, they danced over the grave of their enemies.

49ers linebacker Fred Warner intercepted a pass from Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock late in the game in San Francisco. He lateraled the ball to teammate Dre Greenlaw during the return. With three minutes left and a 12-point advantage, the play enraged Seattle receiver DK Metcalf, who followed the tackle with a body smash and a facemask hold on Warner.

Metcalf left the room. However, Taybor Pepper, the 49ers’ long snapper, continued his “punishment” by using social media to send the receiver a sign-language message in the locker room following the game.

The statement was obviously meant as a hit at Metcalf, who has been under fire this season for using sign language to taunt and celebrate opponents.
LOCK STARTING DEC 10 Drew Lock, a rookie quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, will start Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium in place of starting quarterback Geno Smith, who is sidelined with a groin injury, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Smith was viewed as a game-time decision when he arrived on Sunday with a dubious tag. The Seahawks, though, seemed to have decided sooner than anticipated because Smith did not participate in warmups more than an hour prior to kickoff.

In the two games this season where Smith had to be checked out due to an injury, Lock has seen very little involvement. In his two outings against the New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams, Lock completed 4 of 12 passes for 66 yards and one interception.
