Good news Caitlin Clark sign Draft, while coach the kitchen sink…..

Kelsey Plum asks Iowa to “throw the kitchen sink at her” in order to avoid the WNBA Draft, while congratulating Caitlin Clark.

If we needed further evidence that NIL is now in charge of college athletics, Kelsey Plum gave it to us on Friday night.

The WNBA standout had nothing but love for the new points queen, Caitlin Clark, a day after the latter shattered Plum’s record for the most points in NCAA women’s college basketball history. In fact, she’s even attempting to get Plum compensated.

Plum discussed her thoughts on Clark’s record-breaking performance and the Iowa star’s impending decision to turn pro and probably be the first overall choice in the 2024 WNBA Draft, while she was seated courtside at the Celebrity Game during NBA All-Star weekend.

Iowa should ‘throw the kitchen sink’ at Caitlin Clark, according to Kelsey Plum.
Plum was all on the Iowa star, as she has been all year as Clark chases her record.

“She’s amazing,” Plum said. Specifically, the shot that she used to break the record. That, I believe, pretty about covers it, isn’t it? Just coming up from what is essentially half-court.”

Although Plum’s admiration for Clark is not shocking or novel, her assessment of whether Clark will return to Iowa for a final year or declare for the WNBA Draft may cause some people to take notice.

“Everyone is attempting to determine whether she will leave or remain in her current location, but if I were Iowa, I would definitely throw the kitchen sink at her.”

According to reports, Clark has relationships with Nike, State Farm, Gatorade, H&R Block, Buick, Hy-Vee, and Topps, and is supposedly making over $800,000 in NIL money this year. Surprisingly enough, the ranking is only fourth among women’s college basketball players, behind Haley Cavinder of TCU, Angel Reese of LSU, and Flau’jae Johnson of LSU.

much so, that’s a respectable salary for a 22-year-old senior in college, and regardless of Clark’s choices for the upcoming season, she should make much more. We’ll simply have to wait and see if Iowa, and its wealthiest supporters, are prepared to follow Plum’s advice and contribute enough to persuade Clark to consider remaining.
